More BriAnnimations! Including a better version of the doll's head.

Casino Royale

This is the best James Bond film I have ever seen. Normally I find them irrelevant and full of hot air but this was wonderful. Daniel Craig is a really great Bond and if you haven't seen it yet you are missing something special.

DVLA 007 registration plates

This is interesting - see how much it would cost to get yourself a personalised numberplate with 007 on it!

Seven Dwarfs Meet the Pope

The Seven Dwarfs go to the Vatican and, because they have requested an audience, and as they are THE Seven Dwarfs, they are ushered in to see the Holy Father.Dopey leads the pack. "Dopey, my son," says the Pope, "what can I do for you?"Dopey asks, "Excuse me, Your Excellency, but are there any dwarf nuns inRome?"The Pope wrinkles his brow at the odd question, thinks for a moment and answers, "No, Dopey, there are no dwarf nuns in Rome."In the background a few of the dwarfs start giggling. Dopey turns around and gives them a glare, silencing them.

Dopey turns back, "Your Worship, are there any dwarf nuns in all ofEurope?"The Pope, puzzled now, again thinks for a moment and then answers,"Dopey, there are no dwarf nuns in Europe."This time, all of the other dwarfs burst into laughter. Once again,Dopey turns around and silences them with an angry glare.

Dopey turns back and says, "Your extreme holiness! Are there ANY dwarf nuns anywhere in the world?"After consulting with his advisers, the Pope responds, "I'm sorry my son, there are no dwarf nuns anywhere in the world."

The other dwarfs collapse in a heap, rolling, laughing and pounding the floor, tears streaming down their cheeks as they begin chanting,"Dopey shagged a penguin! Dopey shagged a penguin!"

These pictures are especially for Pamela of her and some of her friends from the North!

The Beatles

The 'new' Beatles album apparently is very good (according to Beatles fans) so might be worth listening to. I haven't tried it yet.
On The Beatles official site you can hear the entire album for free :

Kally and I went to Starbucks for lunch. The pic of her had the light behind her so not very good but the Mulberry handbag and her pedicure make up for it!

Another BriAnn collaboration!

A joke

Two men were digging a ditch on a very hot day. One said to the other, "Why are we down in this hole digging a ditch when our boss is standing up there in the shade of a tree?" “I don't know," responded the other. "I'll ask him.
So he climbed out of the hole and went to his boss. "Why are we digging in the hot sun and you're standing in the shade?" "Intelligence," the boss said. "What do you mean, 'intelligence'?"
The boss said, "Well, I'll show you. I'll put my hand on this tree and I want you to hit it with your fist as hard as you can." The ditch digger took a mighty swing and tried to hit the boss' hand. The boss removed his hand and the ditch digger hit the tree. The boss said, "That's intelligence!"
The ditch digger went back to his hole. His friend asked, "What did he say?" "He said we are down here because of intelligence." "What's intelligence?" said the friend. The ditch digger put his hand on his face and said, "Take your shovel and hit my hand."

Lottery tips...from Planet Science

To get the best value from your lottery ticket, there are two Really Important Things To Know. The first is that any set of numbers is as likely to win as any other. No system will make you more likely to win. All you can do is try to share your jackpot (if it even happens) with as few other people as possible.
To do this, you need to know the second Really Important Thing: although the lottery machine is good at picking random numbers, people aren’t. This is where you can get an edge.
For example, most of us tend to spread our numbers too evenly between 1 and 49 – so you should choose numbers that are bunched together. And people tend to choose numbers near the middle of the ticket, so you should choose yours from near the edges.
But here’s the problem: if everyone starts following these guidelines, they’ll all be picking numbers like yours, and you’ll end up sharing the jackpot again! The system only works if very few people use it.
Here’s a real example. Most people won’t choose the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 – they don’t seem “random” enough. A tiny percentage of lottery players, who understand probability, try to get an advantage by choosing this set of numbers. The trouble is that this tiny percentage is actually quite a lot of folk – if you do win with 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, you’ll be sharing your jackpot with several thousand people!

Hats

Ruth and her friend went trying on lots of hats the other day x

On Friday, Ruth and I went into London to Top Shop Oxford Circus and also to Harrods - she had a party to go to and needed nice stuff!
Anyway, in the toy department of Harrods they had hundreds and hundreds of bears so we bought a couple and a leopard - above is my bear.

3 poems by Bill Costley

for Claire Craven, nurse

Beyond both

Raised to see her guardian angel
dressed in flowing white,
she wears crisp white to work,
knowing there’s more to it than
whiteness: brightness, brilliance,
but beyond both, what?

WMGA-FM

When my guardian angel
strips for a shower, is its
ramient hung up to air/dry?

When my guardian angel
comes back, too full of glory,
is it much too bright to tell?

When I tune to WMGA-FM,
What (if any) angel’s on for me?

“Still the same?”

When I bring these images
down to the page,
are they still the same?

When you read
what you see here,
is it still the same?

When someone reads
this over your shoulder,
is it still the same?

The Google Story

This is a really interesting book about Google. If you have ever used Google to search for stuff then you must find something in here of interest - even if it's the list at the back of some extra things Google can do that you might not know about (such as that you can use the search box as a calculator).
